I Am In An Apartment House

May 12th - 30th, 1945

I looked out the window. I see the wooded earth spread out before me; I am at a great height. Why are dreams written in the past tense? I walked in shining terror to view the city's shadow, wound the city with my glance. This is a good place for contemplation and creative work, though, because each one here is almost isolated from the present chaos by his past. An equally obscene sense of bewilderment and all visions and all values are suspended, at least temporarily, because they are simply and decisively out of place. This is where i can be a serious danger to mankind.

Yes, why are dreams always told in the past tense? How about writing a present tense dream for us?

Today I am dreaming. my candle has allowed itself to become a chief. the scissors a seahawk. simone de beauvoir is sternly observing, though flat and somewhat like diane chambers of cheers she compels something inside of me. A gamble or two....some cribbage inside of the lighter, zippo. Zip, clank, Zippo, a derby hat, some bird chirps, and not her, but sartre's lazy ass walks out the door. its okay though...i like being alone with simone.

YOu write dreams in present tense, Jamba Dunn - I know you do, because I've been there!
I missed Nico last night, in my dreams. Nico looks at me all like hey bitch don't you know my name is chico, and I say you look like snoopy when you get down like that. Nico licks the things she wipes her squirmy butt on. I am dead.
